Elk Antler Velvet (EAV) is the fast -growing,
soft carrilaginous tissue that develops out of the frontal bone
of the Cervus species (which includes elk, deer, caribou, wapiti
and reindeer) that rises from skin covered pedicles before it calicifies
and hardens. Antlers are unique in nature and different from horns
because they are naturally re-grown and cut off each year. Elk antler
velvet , pumped tight with blood and pulsing with hormones, is the
most regenerative mammal tissue known, capable
of growing over half an inch in one day.
Beneficial effects of EAV are reputed to be,
among others, enhanced sense of well being, improved health, increased
energy, improved movement, enhanced resistance to disease, increased
blood flow, promotion of rapid healing in tissues and bones, relief

Antler harvest is carefully

our farmer harvests the elk antler velvet.
Harvesting is done by laser
shearing off the antlers in a quick, pain-free fashion.
Again, these animals are not sedated, insuring drug
and chemical free antler velvet and elk. The antlers
are then flash frozen and sent to a government run
facility for microbial testing and then sent on for
freeze drying into a fine powder.
These domestic Elk are free
roaming in a large family ranch in Saskatewan, CA.
By law, the herd is tightly monitored by both the
federal and provincial government agencies for any
signs of disease that would affect humans and/or pets.

Arthritis
EAV is an excellent, renewable source of chondronitin sulfate (CSA),
glucosamine sulfate, type II collegen and prostaglandins. Research
has repeatedly demonstrated their benefits for joint maintenance
and specifically arthritis. They have exhibited the ability
to restore the integrity to the joints, prevent and repair damage
to and breakdown of cartilage and collagenous tissues, reduce inflammation
and pain and protect and maintain the synovial membranes and fluids.
Unlike the isolated combination of glucosamine and CSA, which had
gained trememdous popularity of late for treatment of osteoarthritis,
EAV's mix and shape of these elements make it useful for both osteo
and rheumatoid Arthritis. One study showed type II collagen to significantly
reduce pain and swelling 80 percent of participants with juvenile
rheumatoid arthritis. A recent study from China demonstrated accelerated
bone fracture healing by stimulating chondrocytes (cartilage producing

Wound Healing
Polymeric-N-acetyl-glucosamine accelerates wound healing by as much
as 42 percent by stimulating epidermal growth factor (EGF)*. In
a double-blind study, Pantrocrine, a specific extract of EAV, significantly
aided recovery from cervical injuries while use in animal studies
enabled quick recovery from whiplash-like injuries. In addition,
Dr. James Suttie, a New Zealand researcher, discovered neutrotrophin
3, a powerful nerve growth factor, in EAV.

Here is the story of how Chyawanprash
got its start:
Long, long ago, there was a sage in India named
Chyawan who lived in a forest. His hair was matted and he was covered
with tree growth after years of meditating in the same place. A
young princess was blindfolded and dancing in the forest when her
hands touched the hair of the sage. Her father, the king, explained
to the sage that it was the custom in his country that a woman could
only touch one man in her lifetime. He thus requested the sage to
marry to daughter. Chyawan asked if he could have two months to
prepare for the wedding for he wished to be young again so as to
afford his wife conjugal bliss. Thereupon, he developed the recipe
for longevity that has remained India's most popular remedy, some
say for 2000 years, others since the times of the Vedas.
A Proven Recipe
Chyawanprash is a unique ‘jam’ is a mix of 49 powerful
ayurvedic herbs with ‘amla’ (Indian gooseberry) as the
base. The other ingredients in this traditional recipe include ashwaganda,
pippali, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon in a base of coconut oil,
agave nectar. We use no Ghee (clarified butter).

The medicinal properties of the Mangosteen fruit
are derived mainly from its outer rind or peel, not from the fleshy
inner part of the fruit. The rind, called the pericarp,
is where powerful antioxidants are highly concentrated.
The Mangosteen pericarp is about a half-centimeter thick and is
green when unripe, then dark purple when ripe.
These unique antioxidants, known as Xanthones,
have properties which help to heal cells damaged by free radicals,

The rind of partially ripe Mangosteen fruit
yields a polyhydroxy-xanthone derivative termed mangostin, also

Free Radicals and potential Polyatomic
Oxygen toxicity
This is a concern to many - if Oxygen metabolites create free radicals
in our bodies, aren't they dangerous? In brief, yes - to pathogenic
organisms that have no defense for it, but not your normal cells
that are not infected. Here is why:
A healthy body has antioxidative defenses that
protect cells from potentially harmful effects of normal levels
of reactive oxygen metabolites, including the endogenous free-radical
scavenging enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase and glutathione
peroxides. These antioxidative enzymes comprise the first line of
cellular defense against oxidative injury. They function to decompose
the precursors, superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide, before they
interact to form the more reactive cytotoxic radical, hydroxyl radical.
Moreover, a second, non-enzymatic defense against
oxygen free-radicals exists to scavenge those that escape decomposition
by anti-oxidant enzymes. Some of the more well known non-enzymatic
molecules include alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), carotenoids, such
as beta-carotene, vitamin A, ascorbate (vitamin C) and sulfhydroxyl
and thioether compounds. In other words, the anti-oxidants act
as a sponge for the free radicals that don't attack pathogens.

levodopa. In one case study it was given to a Parkinson's patient

was found to slow the progression of Parkinson's symptoms (such
as tremors, rigidity, slurring, drooling, and balance), and to have
