This formula has a basis in one of India’s
most famous anti-aging recipes – Chyawanprash.
According to Ayurveda, Chyawanprash comes under the category of
'Rasayana' which aims at maintaining youthfulness, vigor, vitality
of the body and keeping away aging process, senility and debility.

Here is the story of how Chyawanprash
got its start:
Long, long ago, there was a sage in India named
Chyawan who lived in a forest. His hair was matted and he was covered
with tree growth after years of meditating in the same place. A
young princess was blindfolded and dancing in the forest when her
hands touched the hair of the sage. Her father, the king, explained
to the sage that it was the custom in his country that a woman could
only touch one man in her lifetime. He thus requested the sage to
marry to daughter. Chyawan asked if he could have two months to
prepare for the wedding for he wished to be young again so as to
afford his wife conjugal bliss. Thereupon, he developed the recipe
for longevity that has remained India's most popular remedy, some
say for 2000 years, others since the times of the Vedas.
A Proven Recipe
Chyawanprash is a unique ‘jam’ is a mix of 49 powerful
ayurvedic herbs with ‘amla’ (Indian gooseberry) as the
base. The other ingredients in this traditional recipe include ashwaganda,
pippali, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon in a base of coconut oil,

The medicinal properties of the Mangosteen fruit
are derived mainly from its outer rind or peel, not from the fleshy
inner part of the fruit. The rind, called the pericarp,
is where powerful antioxidants are highly concentrated.
The Mangosteen pericarp is about a half-centimeter thick and is
green when unripe, then dark purple when ripe.
These unique antioxidants, known as Xanthones,
have properties which help to heal cells damaged by free radicals,
slow aging, and ward off degenerative diseases and physical and
mental deterioration.
The rind of partially ripe Mangosteen fruit
yields a polyhydroxy-xanthone derivative termed mangostin, also
beta-mangostin. That of fully ripe fruits contains the xanthones
gartanin, beta-disoxygartanin, and normangostin.

journals such as Free Radical Research and the Journal of Pharmacology,

Free Radicals and potential Polyatomic
Oxygen toxicity
This is a concern to many - if Oxygen metabolites create free radicals
in our bodies, aren't they dangerous? In brief, yes - to pathogenic
organisms that have no defense for it, but not your normal cells
that are not infected. Here is why:
A healthy body has antioxidative defenses that
protect cells from potentially harmful effects of normal levels
of reactive oxygen metabolites, including the endogenous free-radical
scavenging enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase and glutathione
peroxides. These antioxidative enzymes comprise the first line of
cellular defense against oxidative injury. They function to decompose
the precursors, superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide, before they
interact to form the more reactive cytotoxic radical, hydroxyl radical.
Moreover, a second, non-enzymatic defense against
oxygen free-radicals exists to scavenge those that escape decomposition
by anti-oxidant enzymes. Some of the more well known non-enzymatic
molecules include alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), carotenoids, such
as beta-carotene, vitamin A, ascorbate (vitamin C) and sulfhydroxyl
and thioether compounds. In other words, the anti-oxidants act
as a sponge for the free radicals that don't attack pathogens.

as tremors, rigidity, slurring, drooling, and balance), and to have
none of the side-effects of the current pharmaceutical L-dopa. Numerous
in vivo studies also have been conducted in rats and humans. In
addition, a (2002) U.S. patent was awarded on Kaunchciting its use
"for the treatment of disorders of the nervous system, including
Parkinson's disease."
It also has reported with anabolic and growth
hormone stimulant properties. The anabolic effect of the seed is
due to its ability to increase testosterone. In 2002, a U.S. patent
was filed on the use of Kaunchto stimulate the release of growth
hormone in humans.
The Blue Lotus was traditionally used to relieve
pain, increase memory, increase circulation, promote sexual desire,
and create feelings of well-being, euphoria and ecstasy, without
the use of narcotics.
The Lotus is believed to contain aporphine and
nuciferine, natural alkaloids. It finds use as a hypnotic, sedative,
euphoric and anti-spasmodic. By itself, Blue Lotus produces an opiate-like
intoxication. Traditionally, Nymphaea caerulea was drunk after being
soaked in warm water or wine, while also smoking the dried flowers.
